The most amusing part of my trip was my animal encounters, which became more prevalent driving through Ismayilly and all the way into Sheki. Cows, sheep, goats, and horses were on and off the main road – in some instances unaccompanied. Some were led by their owners, some were grazing lazily right on the road side or far in the distance, and some, the bravest or the craziest ones, stood right in the middle of the road.
Tired shepherds with their animals are going home after a long day in the grazing fields.
Beautiful farm lands.
It is time to eat (graze) again.
This horse kept staring at me and didn’t even budge from its place as the car I was in drove towards it, so we ended up driving around it.
With this post, I am wrapping up my stories from this road trip. I hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures in Azerbaijan.
