Tips

Measures

  • Ensure you maintain the basic ingredient proportions for good texture and flavor.

Ingredient Approach

  • Sifting the flour and baking powder before adding them to the mixture improves the texture of the magdalenas.
  • You can also enhance their flavor and presentation by drizzling them with melted chocolate or filling them with chocolate cream or pastry cream. While there are many variations to explore, the classic ones that evoke memories of the village are often topped with granulated sugar for that rustic charm.
  • Please try to use mild olive oil whenever possible. If the flavor is too strong, you can opt for sunflower oil. You can also experiment with orange zest instead of lemon for a different flavor.

Leftovers Management

  • Magdalenas stay fresh in an airtight container for several days. You can also freeze them and thaw them whenever you want to enjoy them.
