Yesterday, my friend and I ventured to Palmer to run some errands, and on the way back we stopped at the Pyrah’s Pioneer Peak Farm, Alaska’s largest U-pick operation. It was our second visit to the farm in the past few weeks; we enjoyed all the fresh vegetables we picked on our first visit this year so much that we decided to stock up on some more. This farm is not only great for picking the fruits and vegetables, but also has a spectacular view of the Pioneer Peak Mountain, which makes the experience so much more memorable.
Collard greens. I cooked them with fresh garlic and butter. Yum!
These potatoes are so delicious!
Ready to check out.
If you are lazy and don’t want to dig for onions, you can get them next to the checkout counter.
So if you are in Palmer, stop by the farm, you won’t regret it!
