My culinary adventures in Seattle started with a walk to the Pike Place Market. It was a busy weekend, and I was getting very hungry, so standing in a long line wasn’t an option for me. Walking outside the market a place called Turkish Delight grabbed my attention and to my surprise it wasn’t very busy in there – I still had to stand in line though. I ordered this juicy Chicken Gyro, which was prepared in no time.
Turkish Delight is a great place for a quick bite, and if you feel like having some dessert, you are at the right spot. They have small, but very delicious, variety of Turkish desserts like baklava and Turkish delight hence the name of the restaurant – Turkish Delight.
For dinner I went to Purple – Cafe and Wine Bar.
With its dim lighting and romantic atmosphere, Purple is a great place to take your date, and to make things better they pair wine with food, and they are good at it. What else do you need for a perfect dinner.
I had a sea bass fillet on the bed of farrow with vegetables, which paired beautifully with the white wine that was suggested to me.
For lunch the next day, I stopped at Blue Water Taco Grill at the Seattle Center next to the Space Needle. They have delicious selection of tacos and burritos, another spot for a quick and satisfying bite.
And for a drink with my lunch, I had some of the local cider.
I took this photo walking towards the Miners Landing, a popular tourist destination with restaurants, shops, and attractions.
It felt like home.
For a little Alaska experience come to Alaska Sourdough Bakery.
After seeing the selection of ice cream flavors Seattle Bay Creamery had to offer, I got very excited. What can I say? I love ice cream! If you are an ice cream lover like me, don’t walk past this place without sampling their delicious homemade ice cream.
I would like to end Part 1 of Culinary Adventures in Seattle with the picture of the scrumptious ice cream I had on that beautiful afternoon. More of my adventures in Part 2.
