On my last day in Baku, Azerbaijan, I decided to wake up early to go to the biggest produce market in the city, 8 KM Bazaar. The market was very busy with the workers pushing produce carts and people trying to go around them. There I was surrounded by mounds and mounds of fresh fruit and vegetables from Azerbaijan and the neighboring countries. Aromatic peppers and chilies, bright red tomatoes, exotic melons, black and white mulberries, and so much more delicious produce filled this huge market. Excited, I walked up and down the produce isles, snapping pictures, smelling and purchasing fruit and veggies. I was surprised how friendly vendors were, and how willing they were to pose for my pictures. I left the market with a lot of positive impressions.
